This spreadsheet contains a summary of the top 50 most frequent clinical observations extracted from the clinical notes of patients tested for SARS-CoV-2 at Stanford Health Care, between 07/01/2020 and 07/31/2020.
The data were collected from the first hour of each patient's visit to the ED.
Each row represents a clinical observation mentioned in at least 10 patients' records
Do not sum counts or proportions across rows, because that will doublecount patients.
Total Patients 8636
Positive for SARS-CoV-2 790
Negative for SARS-CoV-2 7846
P(+ve) 0.091
P(-ve) 0.909
Description of DATA columns
Count (observation) The number of patients with at least one mention of the observation in a clinical note.
Count (observation & +ve) The number of patients with at least one mention of the observation in a clinical note and who tested positive.
Count (observation & -ve) The number of patients with at least one mention of the observation in an clinical note and who tested negative.
P(observation) Percentage of patients with at least one mention of the observation in a clinical note.
P(observation|+ve) Percentage of patients with at least one mention of the observation in a clinical note among those who tested positive.
P(observation|-ve) Percentage of patients with at least one mention of the observation in a clinical note among those who tested negative.
P(+ve|observation) Conditional probability of positive test result given mention of the observation: P(+ve|observation) = P(observation|+ve) x P(+ve)/ P(observation)
P(-ve|observation) Conditional probability of negative test result given mention of the observation: P(-ve|observation) = P(observation|-ve) x P(-ve)/ P(observation)
